Evaluation of Advanced Rice Genotypes of National Irrigated Rice Observation Nursery (NIRON)Rice is major cereal crop for food and nutritional security of Nepalese people. The study aimed screening of superior genotypes based on quanitative traits for irrigated condition. The research was carried out at National Rice Research Program (NRRP), Hardinath in 2019. The augmented randomized complete block design was adopted with six blocks. The study tested ninety advanced breeding materials developed through conventional breeding method as testing materials and six released varieties as replicated checks. The yield attributing traits such as days to heading, days to maturity, plant height, panicle length, filled grain percentage per panicle and grain yield ton per ha were recorded. ANOVA, descriptive statistics, genetic variability and cluster performance were determined to the studied traits and genotypes. All traits showed significant differences among genotypes at 1% and 5% level of significance due to different genetic loadings of parents used in crosses. The highest GAM, PCV and GCV recorded for grains yield per ha. Broadsense heritability recorded highest to phonological traits followed by filled grain percentage, plant height and panicle length. The grain yield had positive and highly significant (p<0.01) relation with filled grain percentage. The phonological traits showed positive and highly significant correlation with each other. A circular dendrogram based on five traits (MD, PH, PL, FGP, AGY) grouped into seven clusters. Cluster 1, 2, 3 and 5 grouped early maturity type, good filled grain percentage, short plant height, and high yielding with good filled grain percentage genotypes, respectively. The high heritability coupled with genetic gain helps in precise selection of traits for further improvement. High heritability coupled with genetic advance and GCV values found for days to heading, days to maturity, filled grain percentage and plant height. This allows the selection of these traits directly for improvement because of presence of additive gene action.

A Tale of Two Refugees: Disparities in the Treatment of Ukrainian and Non-Ukrainian Refugees in EuropeThis article examines the differential treatment of Ukrainian refugees compared to those from other regions, particularly the Middle East and Africa, within the European Union. While the EU has demonstrated a swift and substantial response to the Ukrainian refugee crisis, inconsistencies in the application of refugee rights and protection mechanisms have emerged. The paper delves into the key rights enshrined in international refugee law and analyzes their implementation in the context of Ukrainian refugees. It highlights disparities in access to asylum procedures, temporary protection measures, and social services. The potential long-term implications of these disparities for refugee integration and EU refugee policy are explored. Furthermore, the paper discusses the geopolitical factors influencing the EU's response to the Ukrainian refugee crisis and the potential impact of the 2024 US presidential election on global refugee resettlement efforts. It concludes by proposing policy recommendations to ensure equitable treatment of all refugees and strengthen international cooperation in addressing the global refugee crisis.

Evaluating the management of non-communicable diseases of civil servants enrolled into the National Health Insurance Authority Formal Sector Social Health Insurance Programme in Abuja, NigeriaThe study aims to ascertain the prevalence and distribution of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) among Nigerian public service employees, the use of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) by those with NCDs, the factors that influence NHIS use, and the satisfaction of NCD patients with NHIS services. 350 civil officials from several ministries, departments, and parastatals in Abuja, Nigeria, were polled using a structured questionnaire to learn about their demographics, clinical information, NHIS service usage, and level of satisfaction. According to the study, 53.3% of individuals had NCDs, with hypertension being the most common (with 30.0%) of them. Only 16.0% of participants utilized NHIS services, with NHIS utilization being significantly higher among those aged ≤ 25 years and single individuals. Satisfaction with NHIS services was poor, with the lowest rating for the reliability of the health insurance scheme's service delivery in providing promised services (2.25 out of 5). The findings suggest a need for strategies to improve NHIS utilization and service delivery, especially among individuals with NCDs.

Improvement of Environmental life of City by Innovative Waste Management System (IWMS) based on ICT DesignBy this study, we aim to elaborate ``Pratical Process based on ICT``(Innovation) for management of every waste produced in our environment in order to improve conditions of life. We have used some geolocalisation softwares, Internet connection and Microsoft Excell as technology to perform this work. Our interest was focused on hold housing wastes, pluvial and used liquid waste. Our mind was to manage waste produced in our environment in order to improve life in it. So, we did our study in a city called Soweto in Abidjan- Ivory Coast located in Africa. The general purpose of this study is Innovative.
Waste Management System (IWMS) consisting to collect, transport, dispose or/ recycle and control waste. According to these four subsystems developed, the focus of this study was on collection/production system of waste and control systems. For liquid waste, functional infrastructure network is ideal for collection/transportation of and have been done. For used waste, drainage or/with connection of toilet septic tank is the best according to simulation results. For solid waste, frequently collection of waste` has been chosen. Collection must be applied by installation of gabage in a relative architecture in the city, visdange of, transportation to discharge for treatment. We modeled the productions of waste according to our survey and shape a created system of production management for. The concept on control consisted to adapt frequency of collection in certain architecture of city with production of wastes. At the end, test of this system management of waste has been made and the results were good depending of three conditions elaborated. 13 criteria have been defined: Length (m), Number of potholes (NoP); Number of discharges point for collected cumbersome waste (NoDP); Length of Irrigation Network to clean (LoIN); Number of septic tank to drain (NoFV); Total areas (m2) of potholes (TAoP); Total volumes (L) to drain (TVV); Total Volume of Drainage Point (T) to clean (TVoDP); Volume of used waste/Pluvial (HL) to clean (VoUW); Volumes (L) of cleaning water needed (VoCWN); Number of Crossroads ( NoC); Number of collection Point (NoCP), Number of empty areas (NoNA). Only 5 have been considered for simulation. With satisfaction obtained, we think that this system can be used in many fields.
Other studies will consist to perform 2 others systems (transportation, treatment recycle).
