Anastrozole loading onto the magnetic core-shell material composed of Fe3O4@SiO2@p (acrylonitrile-co-acrylic acid)

Anastrozole is a prescribed medication utilized for the treatment of hormone-dependent breast cancer, primarily in postmenopausal women. Administered orally once daily. Anastrozole inhibits the enzyme aromatase, which converts androgens into oestrogens. However, the administration of the medicine frequently results in adverse effects that vary based on dosage, including fatigue, diarrhea, hot flushes, nausea, headaches, and musculoskeletal discomfort. Anastrozole has been associated with additional adverse effects and increased bone loss. To mitigate the negative effects of anastrozole and ensure its effective distribution, it must be adhered to surfaces that are biocompatible and stable within the human body. The co-precipitation approach was employed to synthesized iron oxide nanoparticles, subsequently coated with silica by the Stober process. The synthesised Fe3O4@SiO2 nanocomposite was then coated with copolymer of acrylonitrile and acrylic acid (AN-co-AA) using microwave assisted polymerization. The Fe3O4@SiO2 @p(AN-co-AA) was analyzed using FTIR, EDX, and SEM techniques. The investigation examined how contact time, pH, drug quantity, and nanocomposite quantity influenced drug loading. The optimal adsorption (96.1%) occurred with 16 hour reaction duration, a pH of 4, anastrozole concentration of 20 µg/mL, and an adsorbent dosage of 10 mg.

Alpha amylase and Alpha glucosidase Enzymes inhibitory assay of newly synthesized zinc complexes
DOI: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.14001040
PDFView Article
A total of five Zinc(II) complexes of 2-(2-Methoxyphenoxy)acetic acid were prepared by using Methyl alcohol as a solvent, in the absence (C1), and in the presence of pyridine (C2), 3-Methyl pyridine (C3), 1,10-phenanthroline (C4) and 2,2′-bipyridine (C5). Moderately good yields of the complexes were obtained. The synthesized compounds were characterized by FT-IR and UV-Visible spectrophotometry. Complexes showed inhibition activity towards Alpha-amylase and Alpha- glucosidase enzymes. Their increasing order of activity in Alpha-amylase inhibition was C5 > C3 > C1 > C2 > C4 > C and that of Alpha-glucosidase inhibition C4 > C2 > C > C3 > C1 > C5.

Design and Development of a Biometric Recognition System to Uniquely Identify Sexual Assault Offenders
DOI: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.14001071
PDFView Article
This study designed and developed a biometric recognition system to uniquely identify sexual assault offenders in Zambia for lack of empirical evidence for convictions. A simulation-based study was conducted using 6000 fingerprint images from the SOCOFing database. The fingerprint recognition algorithm showed 94.7% accuracy with a 2.3% False Acceptance Rate (FAR), 3.0% False Rejection Rate (FRR) and Equal Error Rate (EER) of 2.6%. Facial recognition system presented an accuracy of 89.5% (FAR = 3.8%, FRR = 6.7%). The multimodal fusion of fingerprint and facial recognition increased the system's accuracy to 97.2%. Database performance test results denote average query response time, being 0.3 seconds for a single-fingerprint match among ten thousand records, while usability test scores graded by fifty law enforcement agents showed a System Usability Scale score of 82, indicating that the biometric detection system works in safer user environment demonstrating sutures with high detection rate ranging results from [98,99]. The proposed systems achieved an overall indiscriminateness up to detecting spoofs by reaching a spoof detection usable rate of 99%.

UNIFICATION PROCESS AND BROKEN HOMES: A PERSPECTIVE FROM THE CANADIAN SOCIAL CARE SYSTEM
DOI: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.14004893
PDFView Article
This research explores the lack of mediation and reunification for victims of broken homes and their families and seeks to sort the laid down support systems from the Canadian social care support systems. Reunification can be described as a roundtable involving the child and caregiver, trying to bring restoration and solutions to families disrupted by child welfare. Reunification is an ambiguous concept and reality, as it is open to multiple interpretations. This paper dissect and digest the elements of broken homes, how reunification is essential but lacking in most situations and how it is a psychological relief for both victims, families using the Canadian social care support systems. Bringing methodologies and theories together makes room for flexibility around research goals. That principle can be translated in to practice by talking about and prioritizing symbiotic frameworks. If frameworks are made intersectional and connective with one another and phenomena outside of themselves (phenomenology), then, coalitions and solidarities can take place. Alliances reduce vulnerabilities to poverty, homelessness, trauma, by forging links and connectivity amongst people and across differences This paper centers on the social welfare system and philosophical underpinnings of processes systems use to transition victims of broken homes back to their families using support systems and regulations brining about an efficient universal reunification.

Strategies of the Principal in Establishing Partnerships with Stakeholders at SMK Negeri 1 Simpang Kanan in 2023
DOI: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.14233712
PDFView Article
The aim of this research is to describe the principal's strategy in collaborating with partners at SMK Negeri 1 Simpang Kanan. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative research method with a case study research design approach. Data collection was carried out using survey questionnaire techniques, observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this research describe the principal's strategy in establishing cooperation with partners at SMK Negeri 1 Simpang Kanan by carrying out: planning cooperation, organizing cooperation, implementing cooperation, and evaluating cooperation and also the factors that influence the implementation of cooperation with partners as well as obstacles in collaborate with partners. This research concludes that the strategy of the principal of SMK Negeri 1 Simpang Kanan to collaborate with partners is to obtain partners who suit the needs of each skills program, and recruit graduates to be able to work at the collaboration partner's location. Factors that can influence the implementation of collaboration with partners at SMK Negeri 1 Simpang Kanan, namely the existence of collaborative relationships with the business world and the industrial world, the school can use DU/DI facilities, the existence of student discipline when carrying out work or internship programs, student competency increases , students gain experience working at partner sites and internship sites. Obstacles in collaborating with partners at SMK Negeri 1 Simpang Kanan include the difficulty of finding partners who suit the school's needs, the partner's distance is too far, the school's demands for partners are not in line with, and the partner's demands are too high, so the school cannot continue the partnership.
