PDFView Article
Social media has grown to become a gigantic part of education in this digital age. People learn and teach differently. The paper tries to outline the intricate relationship between education and social media sites, focusing on the good and the bad. We will consider the blend of different aspects, whereby social media can provide novel ideas to teachers for teaching and learning, learners can learn things in a more interactive way, and can help to diffuse key digital skills. On the dark side, an area of concern is privacy issues and levels of distraction, ensuring that only reliable information is shared. We'll also cover some newer trends and ways in which people are using social media in education. For example, some teachers are employing social network tools to reach their students, while others are turning to gamification to make learning more interesting. Online communities exist where educators can come together to share ideas and support each other. What follows is designed to help educators, policymakers, and researchers alike realize some ways through which the best of these tools can be used in the creation of optimal learning experiences for all stakeholders in the educational environment—a close look at how social media is changing education today.

In preparation for Bangladesh's 50th anniversary of independence in 2021, this article offers a concise overview of the measures taken by the country to uphold human rights. Human rights as a framework for law and politics follows a brief overview of their background and theory, this study analyses the protection of fundamental rights guaranteed by the Bangladeshi constitution from 1971 until 2021 and the institutional and legal structures put in place to ensure their implementation. In addition to discussing the problems with human rights enforcement, the paper lays out a plan to fix them by implementing various reforms in the areas of law, administration, and the courts that would make it easier to punish those responsible for human rights abuses, compensate victims, and prevent future abuses. The importance of the various players' (legislative, executive, and judicial) positive commitment in preserving and safeguarding civil liberties in Bangladesh is emphasised towards the end. Fundamental freedoms enforcement and Bangladesh's capacity to empower its inhabitants are both hampered by the intricacies of national laws and politics, which are the subject of this paper's analysis.

My Academic Journey
DOI: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.13088688
PDFView Article
My lifelong journey through the academic world yields insight into how we all can address our present-day double crisis of finding personal meaning in our lives and making progress on problems threatening the very existence of the human race. It was four different kinds of experiences which, joined together, were most influential in setting me on my present path of confronting those crises with incredibly powerful tools: (1) As a pre-med student at Columbia, prior to changing to sociology, my studies in biology, chemistry, physics and mathematics gave me an understanding of the incredible power of science for effectively addressing fundamental problems. (2) It was C. Wright Mills’ personality—a man who roared into Columbia on a motorcycle, with enormous emotional strength and charisma—that taught me to move away from my former timid self-image. (3) Two doctoral students at Boston University—Jack Levin and Andy Plotkin—helped me to build on my own understanding of powerful forces working for human development. (4) Joining forces with Tom Savage—a man who had journeyed from pulpit to patrol car—after our chance meeting, enabled me to build on my emotional and intellectual strengths with actions throughout my everyday life. It is all of us humans, the most interactive beings throughout the entire known universe, who can learn to fulfill our “heart,” “head” and “hand” potentials to solve the crises of achieving personal meaning and addressing effectively society’s mammoth problems.

Several economic issues that are sensitive to fluctuations in exchange rates, environmental changes, and variations in the regional and worldwide economies, affect how affordable housing is in Malaysia. These determinants include Property Prices (PP), Household Income Level (HIL), Interest Rates (IR), Cost of Living (CoL), Housing Supply and Demand (HSD), types of jobs, housing policies, etc. This study investigates the economic elements that affect Housing Affordability (HA) in Malaysia. This study employs a survey report to derive data on HIL, vital requirements, and Household Expenses (HE) for 2019. The data was selected after employing the purposive sampling technique. The data was analysed using qualitative methodologies. The findings highlight five significant economic variables affecting HA in Malaysia, namely HIL, PP, IR, CoL, and HSD. Thus, in Malaysia, a household's ability to purchase a home is determined by HIL, PP, and CoL. This study showed that stakeholders and policymakers need to pay a lot of attention to the above elements to certify that everyone, irrespective of their HIL or circumstances, has an equal opportunity to access Affordable Housing (AH) in Malaysia.

Learning music, particularly piano, encompasses technical proficiency and emotional expression, demanding a nuanced understanding of psychological influences. This study explores how mood, parental support, and resilience intersect to shape children's engagement in music education. Drawing from qualitative methods, three children actively engaged in music lessons and their parents participated in in-depth interviews. The findings underscored the pivotal role of parental support in fostering motivation and resilience among children learning music. Parents not only provided logistical support but also emotional encouragement and participation in practice sessions, which significantly enhanced their children's commitment to music. Moreover, positive mood states were identified as catalysts for increased motivation, concentration, and perseverance in music learning, whereas negative moods posed challenges to sustained engagement. Psychological theories such as Self-Determination Theory and Expectancy-Value Theory elucidated the mechanisms through which mood influences students' learning experiences. Effective teaching strategies that acknowledge and respond to students' emotional states emerged as crucial in creating supportive learning environments. By integrating insights from psychological research and considering contextual factors, this study advocates for comprehensive approaches to enhance students' emotional well-being and academic success in music education. Ultimately, it contributes to a nuanced understanding of the complex dynamics shaping children's involvement and resilience in piano learning, emphasizing the need for holistic educational practices that integrate psychological principles to foster both academic and emotional growth.

DOI: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.13085145
PDFView Article
The discussion on the topic of body theology is based on observations of the state of humanity, which no longer appreciates its identity as noble beings capable of managing themselves well and functioning in all aspects of nobility. The human body consists of numerous organs, genes, and cells bound together as a unified whole that complements and depends on each other, with very precise coordination through ion organs. An organ is composed of various types of tissues to perform specific functions. For example, the intestine comprises multiple tissue types. The muscular layer is composed of smooth muscle tissue, within which there are lymphatic vessels and nerves. "cari, smata" is a noun derived from the verb "cari, zomai" (to give); indicating what has been given, bestowed; [such as; as; when] the result of a natural disaster, a very friendly grace gift, a benefaction that grants, beneficial for, with various meanings depending on context: special treatment [bequeathing/granting, rescuing from danger, gift. "cari, smata" is a divine gift given to humans and used for the glory of God. Indeed, everything in human life or everything lived by humans is a gift from God aimed at declaring the Almighty's sovereignty within human beings and to this world. With this understanding, humans need to realize and understand how things are and how they would be without them. Everything is a gift given by God.

DOI: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.13139822
PDFView Article
This study investigates the impact of misconduct on employment relationships in the Zimbabwe hospitality industry, focusing on summary dismissal cases. Using regression analysis, we examined the relationship between misconduct and employment relationships, controlling for demographic variables. Our results show that misconduct significantly predicts summary dismissal (β = 0.45, p < 0.01). The most common forms of misconduct leading to summary dismissal were gross insubordination (40%; Kim, 2019), theft and fraud (24%; Bennett, 2018), sexual harassment (16%; Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, 2020), negligence and recklessness (12%; Kim, 2019), and absenteeism and tardiness (8%; Bennett, 2018). Reliability testing revealed a high level of internal consistency in our misconduct scale (α = 0.87). Our findings support previous research highlighting the detrimental effects of misconduct on employment relationships.
