IMPACT OF FEATURE HASHING FOR DIMENSIONAL REDUCTION TECHNIQUE ON MOVIE REVIEW DATASETS
PDFView Article
Sentiment analysis plays a pivotal role in comprehending public sentiment and user feedback. In this study, we investigate the effectiveness of feature hashing, a dimensional reduction technique, in conjunction with classifier enhancement to improve sentiment analysis using a movie review dataset under precision, accuracy and recall evaluation metrics. We specifically address two key aspects: the challenges in the movie dataset that necessitated the application of feature hashing and the significant of the propose approach. Our initial assessment of three baseline classifiers: Linear SVC, K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN), and Bernoulli Naive Bayes (NB) revealed precision scores of 85.92%, 61.57%, and 86.52%, respectively. Recognizing that these classifiers might not fully exploit the dataset's potential due to data redundancy issues, we applied feature hashing (FH) to mitigate these challenges. This reduction technique resulted in a streamlined feature set. Following feature hashing, we observed remarkable precision improvements. Linear SVC achieved 90.60%, KNN demonstrated an impressive 92.43%, and Bernoulli (NB) maintained a high precision level of 90.34%. These outcomes shows the effectiveness of feature hashing in eliminating data redundancy, enabling our classifiers to better capture the underlying sentiment nuances in the movie review dataset. Our proposed approach consistently outperforms existing methods, affirming its capacity to enhance sentiment analysis tasks. These findings underscore the significance of dimensional reduction techniques such as feature hashing in bolstering classifier performance. Our study addresses the unique challenges of the movie dataset and highlights the applicability of these techniques in real-world sentiment analysis scenarios, where accurate sentiment assessment is indispensable for informed decision-making and comprehending user sentiments towards products and services.

SENSORY AND TEXTURE ATTRIBUTES OF MANUALLY AND MACHINE-SLICED OKAZI (GNETUM AFRICANUM) LEAF OF DIFFERENT SLICE THICKNESS AND LENGTH IN SOUP PREPARATION
PDFView Article
A traditional Nigerian soup called "Okazi'' is made from the Gnetum Africanum woods shrub, which the Igbo people call "Okazi." The main reason okazi is so highly valued by the Igbo people is because of its medicinal qualities, which are particularly beneficial to the digestive system. In the southeast of Nigeria, Okazi (Gnetum Africanium) leaf is a popular wild, native dark green leafy vegetable due to its flavor and palatability. It tastes a little bit harsh. The edible leaves are typically cut into strips and added to soups and stews, among other dishes. The characteristic fibrous texture of okazi leaves makes them tough to cut. The leaves are thick and paper-like. The thickness and length of the Okazi leaf slices cut by hand and by machine were measured with a Vernier caliper. For the experiment, a fully randomized design was utilized. The sensory and textural characteristics of the soup and okazi leaf were evaluated in the study using machine and hand slices of okazi leaf with different thicknesses. The study population consisted of twenty panelists. The outcomes were calculated using a hedonic scale with nine points. A carefully thought-out questionnaire was also used to determine how popular and how much was consumed of the soups and raw leaves. At the p<0.05 level, the data were statistically examined using an analysis of variance (ANOVA). The results showed that the hand-cut sample B, which measured 0.2 cm and 3.0 cm, and the machine-cut sample A, which measured 0.3 cm and 3.1 cm in thickness and length, had the most acceptability in terms of color, aroma, texture attributes (chewiness, juiciness, fibrousness), and overall acceptability. The outcomes showed that the okazi leaf slices made by machine and by hand, with different thicknesses and lengths used in the soup, did not differ significantly (p < 0.05).

ELLIPTIC-CURVE GROUPS IN QUANTUM-ERA CRYPTOGRAPHY
PDFView Article
Elliptic-curve group cryptography (ECC) has been widely recognized as a robust and efficient cryptographic system in the classical era. However, with the emergence of quantum computing, traditional public key cryptosystems are at risk of being broken, which has prompted the exploration of alternative cryptographic methods. This research paper explores the fundamental aspects of elliptic curve groups in cryptography, their properties, and their application in cryptographic protocols in quantum era, focusing on the potential vulnerabilities of ECC in the quantum computing age and the efforts to develop post-quantum secure ECC-based schemes.

A study on Factors Affecting Quality Performance in Construction Projects in Afghanistan
PDFView Article
The paper reviews the factors affecting quality performance in construction projects in Afghanistan. The general target of this research is to study and know about the causes of avoiding quality performance in construction projects in Afghanistan. To achieve this objective, different factors are identified and studied in all three phases: Design phase, Construction phase, and inspection phase. By the results of the study, a conclusion is drawn about factors of great quality performance in construction projects in Afghanistan. It must be analyzed within the dimensions of quantitative factors associated with its implementation, duration, cost, and expected benefits. I have distributed questionnaires in both English and Pushto (Afghanistan) language to the consultant companies, contractors, and owners of different organizations in different districts, province and all regions of Afghanistan. I use SPSS 25 version to obtain the results. Thereafter, it is subjected to evaluation measures that result in the achievement of milestones. The following are the key aspects that determine the quality of construction projects: The quality of construction materials and the environment have been subjected to government regulations or prohibitions. Energy and resource limitations, poor transportation networks for timely delivery of materials or commodities, a lack of personnel to do professional activities, and so on are all examples of poverty in society. Early identification of constraints on a project’s quality performance can prevent subsequent delays in project completion and cost overruns. Thus audits could serve as an effective tool for managing construction projects with optimum quality performance. This paper brings out specific relationships between outside factors and particular collaborative behaviors to help assist auditors in evaluating quality performance on construction projects in Afghanistan.

Feasibility Study of Zero Energy House in Nablus-Palestine
PDFView Article
In the last years, 20% world's population has seen rapid growth that has profoundly altered their routines and quality of life. People paid a significant price for this improvement. A high usage of energy, derived from fossil fuels, increased carbon dioxide and emissions out into the air, causing global warming and damages the environment. As a result, new construction ide-as must be reconsidered. The challenge for emerging sustainable cities is to expand in accordance with tomorrow's lifestyles, while also creating a better relationship between environment and humanity and reestablishing lost interpersonal contacts. One approach is to design and build (ZEH), which minimize the pollution effect and the use of non-renewable resources. The coming factors should be examined in particular: the use of renewable and recyclable materials; improving building energy efficiency; introducing improved efficient energy systems that use alternative and clean sources etc. In this study a house of 200 square meter house of two stories was studied and it was occupied by four persons. To make this house zero energy, we will first construct the following renewable energy systems on the 115 m2 flat roof, followed by the installation of a solar water heating system. Final-ly, we will build a solar power system. and the following adjustments will be made to increase energy efficiency, for that Ret-screen software was employed and used for this simulation. The results showed that results showed a zero energy home of savings of 222 tons of co2 emmission a saving of 222845 ILS in fuel. The total savings were 311715 ILS. The results showed shows that the impact on the NPV is stronger for the “initial cost than that for the fuel cost base case.

Analyzing and investigating the effects of Naqadeh earthquake aftershocks in West Azerbaijan on the results of probabilistic seismic risk estimation using clustering analysis
PDFView Article
In risk analysis, parameters such as distance, height, attenuation relationships, local soil conditions, etc. are used, and a certain parameter of the ground movement in the desired site is predicted. The effects of future earthquakes cannot be determined exactly, and these effects can only be partially predicted with probabilistic methods. Earthquake (seismic) risk analysis includes research and methods that can be used to estimate the effects of future earthquakes on construction. These effects mainly include ground motion parameters. In the past, the earthquake intensity parameter was used due to the lack of earth movement measurement tools. In this study, a probabilistic seismic hazard analysis was performed considering the effects of the aftershocks of the Naqadeh earthquake (July 18, 2021) and compared with the conventional analysis results. The results of the analysis show the importance of aftershocks in the estimation of seismic risk and the necessity of considering these events as part of the seismic risk of the region.
