The research paper is an attempt to understand the impact of Big Five Personality Traits on the competencies of the bank employees of Axis, HDFC and ICICI Banks operating in North East India. Current paper is both empirical and descriptive in nature. A questionnaire was formulated for the employees and its reliability was calculated using Cronbach’s Alpha. SPSS software was used to test the research hypothesis. The results indicate that HDFC and Axis Bank employees are more competent with regard to all the parameters of Personality as compared to ICICI Bank.
