Tea and coffee represent two major cash crops in Nepal, with global demand and consumption for these products remaining substantial. Despite considerable exports of these commodities, their current level of exportation falls short of their true potential. This article evaluates the significance of tea and coffee in Nepal's trade dynamics, particularly in the context of the huge trade imbalance the country currently handles with. By harnessing these products, Nepal has the opportunity to address this imbalance effectively. This article undertakes an in-depth evaluation, drawing upon secondary data from diverse sources, and employs quantitative analysis to explore the latent potential within Nepal's tea and coffee production. The outcomes of this study provide valuable insights and recommendations that can guide policymakers and stakeholders within the business community toward strategic decisions that can strengthen the positive impact of tea and coffee production on Nepal's trade scenario.
