Abstract:
This study aims to examine the dynamics of green foreign direct investment (FDI) and its impact on the environmental transition in emerging Tunisian economies through an econometric analysis using the R software. Green FDI reflects an increasing importance in promoting sustainable development and reducing environmental damage, especially in emerging countries striving to balance economic growth and environmental protection. The study utilizes economic and environmental data to assess the relationship between green investments and environmental transition indicators such as carbon emissions and renewable energy consumption. The results indicate that green FDI has a positive and significant effect on improving Tunisia’s environmental indicators, highlighting the necessity of adopting incentive policies and strengthening the legal framework to support this type of investment. The study also concludes that the integration of economic, social, and environmental policies is essential for achieving sustainable development in the Tunisian economy. This research provides scientific and practical contributions that assist policymakers in formulating effective strategies to enhance environmental investments and realize a green transition in Tunisia.
