As a consequence of this attention, many technical problems are tackled and addressed. Therefore, efforts and studies aimed at incorporating EVs powered by renewable energy sources are a current realistic alternative for addressing climate change and accelerating energy transition. Current trends suggest that the usage of internal combustion engines will decrease as a result of this service in the coming months. The current state and projected growth of the electric vehicle (EV) industry worldwide is analysed. The efficiency of electric vehicles is determined by how well its power electronics converters and energy storage devices are linked. The high initial cost and lengthy charging time of EVs are the main obstacles to wider adoption.
