India is largest producer of gram and so shares a total 67.2% of global production. Nutrients deficiency particularly phosphorus (P) and sulphur (S) responsible for maximum flower drop at terminal stages of bengal gram results in loose productivity despite the maximum capacity to slow down flower drop. Therefore, pre-sowing seed and foliose action of gibberellins (GA3) and macronutrients on flowering stage is of larger valuation to reduce this problem. Thus, a pot experiment plotted to study the influence of pre-soaking and post spray application of P, S and GA3 alone or in combination of all treatments on quality, yield and growth parameters under open field conditions of Amroha district of the Uttar Pradesh. The study tells that pre-sowing soaking (10 h) treatments followed by post-sowing foliar spray of nutrients at flowering phase (70-80 DAS) optimum for realization of optimum increment in yield, growth and quality characters. Also, growth, photosynthesis and quality concerned attributes, were, highly strengthened with the joint application of P, S and GA3 (seeds soaked with 10 h in 10-6 M GA3) before sowing and sprayed at reproductive phase with joined treatments of GA3 P + S. These results applied by researchers and policymakers to larger extent to ensure quality and productivity for the wellness of the growing Indian as well as South Asian population and globe as well to meet the adequate and cost effective protein needs of the peoples of the South Asia and globally too.
