This study analyzes the systemic approach to conflict prevention and peacebuilding of UPA’s program in Rwanda with the principle “Whoever Wants Peace Prepares Peace”. The main objective is to evaluate the impact of peace education in 1511 graduated in UPA related program, 35 first graduates in Rwanda and 1476 students and teachers trained in the same perspectives by Association des Jeunes de Saint Charles Lwanga (AJECL) in 45 schools. A sample of 43 respondents was selected using Slovin’s formula. Data collection involved a structured questionnaire, and the results were analyzed using statistical tools to present findings. The study reveals that 95% of respondents are aware of UPA, and 72% have participated in peacebuilding activities. Additionally, 78% believe the program significantly improves conflict resolution skills, while 81% report positive behavioral changes. 76% of teachers and students confirm a reduction of violence in school due to peace education. However, 40% cite resource constraints as a challenge in implementing the program effectively. In conclusion, UPA’s program has had a significant impact on fostering a culture of peace among students and teachers. Strengthening resources and expanding training can further enhance its effectiveness in conflict prevention and peacebuilding in Rwandan schools and beyond.

This article carries forward the ideas in Savage’s book with Bernard Phillips, Creating Life Before Death: Before Disaster Strikes the Ship of State (2nd ed., 2024), as illustrated by the 55 references in the bibliography. By reversing that book’s sequence of ideas followed by stories, so as to present stories followed by their sociological implications, Savage looks toward communicating the full power of sociology for solving individual and world problems. He sees the result as nothing less than the framework for a new social movement, an Individual Evolutionary Movement. The key figures in the bibliography—Durkheim, Simmel, Weber, Addams, Dewey, Korzybski, Polak, Mills, Gouldner, Gould, Kelly, Phillips, Savage, Busch, Plotkin, Levin and Turner—succeeded in laying the groundwork for this paper with their focus on personal and world problem-solving. By centering on the concept of INTERACTION, the paper integrates these ideas, working toward fulfilling the vision of the “dynamic duo”—Phillips and Savage—of a social movement delivering an incredibly effective science of human behavior in the hands of the ordinary individual. Our times, with unsolved problems threatening the very existence of the human race, call for nothing less than such an Individual Evolutionary Movement. It opens up to individuals of all political persuasions and all nations with its focus on moving democratic institutions a step further, following the vision of Jane Addams: “The Cure for the Ills of Democracy——Is More Democracy”. That vision extends to John Dewey’s mantra to “educate every individual into the full stature of his possibility.” In the view of Phillips and Savage, that possibility is limitless. Metaphorically, they see the Scarecrow, Tin Man, Lion, Dorothy and the Munchkins as learning to travel on the yellow brick road with no end, carrying forward the visions of Addams and Dewey and stretching beyond Emerald City.

This study investigates how Australia’s national broadcaster ABC set the media agenda for China-related issues through its program China Tonight from 2021 to 2023. Drawing on first-level agenda-setting theory, the research employs content analysis to examine 23 episodes, identifying issue salience and thematic evolution. The findings reveal that the program predominantly focused on social and political topics—such as China’s population policies, education reforms, human rights, and diplomatic tensions—while also gradually incorporating cultural and everyday life issues over time. The thematic shifts across the three years reflect both geopolitical developments and changing audience expectations. The study demonstrates a dual logic in ABC’s reporting, balancing “hard” topics with socially resonant “soft” topics to construct a multidimensional image of China. By highlighting the agenda-setting mechanisms at play, this research contributes to a deeper understanding of intercultural media narratives and offers insights into the dynamics of China–Australia media relations. Limitations and directions for future research are also discussed.

This article interrogates the historical practice of mediated authorship in religious texts to draw critical parallels with contemporary debates surrounding generative artificial intelligence (AI), specifically large language models (LLMs). By juxtaposing the mediated authorship of sacred texts, such as the Hebrew Bible and New Testament—where figures like the Apostle Paul dictated theological concepts to scribes who infused these directives with their interpretive insights—with the generative processes of LLMs, this research underscores the shared dynamics of co-constructed authorship across historical and technological contexts. Employing interdisciplinary methodologies from art history, textual studies, and reception theory, as well as theological and biblical studies, the study highlights that the primary contribution lies not in novel historical insights but rather in recognizing significant parallels in knowledge creation and dissemination across eras. Both scribal and AI-driven authorship challenge traditional conceptions of originality, intention, and authority, illustrating that mediated authorship has long been intrinsic to the production of significant cultural texts. By situating LLMs within this lineage, we recognize authorship as inherently mediated—whether through divine-human collaboration or human-algorithm interplay. These analogies provoke a reassessment of authorship as a collaborative and iterative construct, enriching contemporary discussions surrounding intellectual property, creative ownership, and ethical accountability in the digital age. This analysis contributes to broader discourses on the evolving intersections between human creativity, algorithmic agency, and cultural meaning-making in sacred and secular domains.

This article focuses on examining how alternative assessment can become a very successful teaching tool in the hands of educators who wish to assess their students' performance in a non-traditional way. In order to achieve such an aim, the teacher chose to create three projects, which were based on the coursebook material, and focus on classroom observation metodology by incorporating a student observation checklist and three different types of assessment forms per project: a student self-assessment form as well as group-to-group and within-group peer assessment ones. The choice of such material is based on the benefits of project-based learning. As well as that, self-assessment forms and peer/group assessment enhance student autonomy, boost collaboration within the classroom and offer an enjoyable and meaningful alternative to more traditional and rigid forms of student evaluation such as standardised testing. The three projects were concluded in corresponding teaching sessions which aimed at different skills, after which sessions there followed an evaluation process implementing everything mentioned above.

On May 25 of this year will have presidential elections in Suriname and this is difficult to find a candidate, among the six who compete for the most important position of the country, seriously committed to environmental education and preservation. There is no any governmental interventions, required to prevent green gentrification: 451,000 hectares of Amazonian primary forest were granted to agricultural installments. This has resulted in a shocking amount of primary forest loss for a country that has suffered an average annual deforestation of 6,560 hectares in the last 21 years (137,746 hectares in total since 2002). It is a country with various climatic challenges due to the lack of education, available only in The Netherlands. This is related to the vast Chinese and Indian population density, which dominate the private sector and has a large influence on the public sector with the endorsement of The Netherlands. Due to the lack of access to knowledge, the pollution of Suriname, in particular the amount of garbage in the streets of Paramaribo, is a chaotic situation that can no longer continue since it is gravally affected the health of the population. A growing body of research highlights that enhancing green spaces can play a significant role in preventing or reducing the severity of various chronic conditions. Environmental education cannot be developed in isolation; it must be integrated within a broader social and cultural context to be truly effective. This study explores the importance of incorporating environmental education into early childhood learning and fostering greater engagement with students. By embedding environmental education into diverse learning environments, this approach promotes both ecological awareness and a deeper respect for the environment. An ecologically conscious citizen who respects nature and diverse cultures is more receptive to effective environmental education practices and better equipped for active participation in government initiatives. In response to this need for transformation, this research proposes an environmental education new paradigm based on transversality. In parallel, the insertion of environmental education as a cross in mathematics, chemistry, literature, biology and physical education, it is necessary that Suriname farmers begin to use biodynamic agriculture practices as a rock dust. The main result is a model of biodynamic agriculture based on the transversality of the teaching of Environmental Education and rock dust as an excellent remineralizer for the Suriname’s soil.

From allowing the Head, Heart, and Hand to work together, not in opposition. From this place of inner harmony, we filter our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors not through fear or ego, but through consciousness we become Deliberate. Purposeful. Present. Here are simple ways to begin evolving consciously. 1. Reflect daily. 2. Ground in nature. 3. Educate your head. 4. Educate your heart. 5. Activate your hand. 6. Create rituals of meaning. 7. Join or Build communities. The universe has spent billions of years creating a being who can love, learn, and lead. Now that you are here, what will you do? The choice is yours.

The ageing population and increased life expectancy result from reduced mortality and fertility rates, indicative of a society's socioeconomic advancement. In several nations, the internationally acknowledged threshold for categorising persons as elderly is 60 years. The increasing older demographic heightens apprehensions over physical and functional health, social isolation, and maltreatment. The ageing process is linked to several issues, each arising from multiple factors. Geriatric social workers are essential in augmenting the mobility and autonomy of elderly individuals, thereby raising their quality of life and that of their loved ones. Social work intervention is crucial for successful ageing, encompassing comprehensive evaluation, counselling, crisis intervention, information distribution, and interdisciplinary teamwork. A multidisciplinary strategy, incorporating geriatric social workers, is crucial in the 21st century for guaranteeing a secure living environment and facilitating good ageing.

Eustacia's frustrations and her disappointment at her husband's failure to take her to Paris lead to the resumption of her secret relationship with Wildeve. She is responsible for her misfortune on account of her characteristic failure to control her passions and desires, and her tendency to yield to her impulses and illusions. This study aims to give an analysis of Eustacia Vye's character between her dreams and her realities of going to Paris. The study concludes with the failure of Eustacia's Vye dream to go to Paris and finally her death.

This paper centers on how to confront effectively the massive yet unsolved problems of the contemporary world, like the rise of dictatorships and the threats of nuclear war, economic disaster, and climate change. My approach is (1) to motivate readers to learn to move toward their own personal evolution, and (2) to sketch how such learning can become the basis for their developing a powerful and continually expanding evolutionary social movement which will move society toward solving its basic problems. In this way, the world will take its next steps toward achieving a democratic way of life. This will involve the development of a powerful and interdisciplinary science of human behavior placed in the hands of the ordinary individual. After a brief introduction, a sequence of two sections of this paper will convey these messages: “Personal Evolution” and “World Evolution.” This will require the individual’s practicing both mindfulness and the increasing solutions of personal problems, based on one’s development of intellect, emotions, and problem-solving actions. Such personal evolution is possible, given every human being’s amazing potentials. Yet the fulfillment of those potentials requires deep and continuing emotional commitment to solving personal problems. The result will be nothing less than the continuing development of societies and the solution of our mammoth societal problems.

Religious harmony aims to motivate and dynamize all religious communities so that they can participate in national development and become a very important thing to achieve a welfare of life in this country.
