Recent Trends in Crime Scene Investigation: Inclusion of Forensic Science under New Criminal LawThe recent introduction of new Criminal Law in India is considered as the most momentous event in the annals of criminal justice administration. The inclusion of forensic visit to the crime scene and video recording of the entire procedure done at the scene of occurrence is now become mandatory in all criminal cases where the punishment is more than seven years. This eventually brought a sea change in terms of conducting forensic crime scene investigation by the police with the assistance of an expert. The underlying object is to collect vital clue materials and physical evidence found in crime scene with the help of scientific techniques. The systematic crime scene investigation involves various scientific procedures to be performed by experts at the crime site adopting novel methods with the aid of forensic tools.

DEVELOPMENT OF LYCOPENE RICH RUSKThis study is aimed to develop a common lycopene rich ready to eat snack. So ‘Rusk’ is selected as a food vehicle and tomato puree is chosen (one of the rich source of lycopene) for fortification into the rusks. Plain Rusks are kept as control. The sensory evaluation is conducted among semi-trained and untrained panel judges. The statistical analysis showed that there is no significant difference between control and lycopred rusks in sensory evaluation among both the panel judges which implied that the researcher product was found to be equally good in par with the control product in terms of its organoleptic properties.

Critical Upgrades to Elevate PMIPv6 CapabilitiesMobility IP protocols are intended to ensure that mobile nodes remain reachable while traversing the Internet. There are two primary approaches to mobility management: host-based and network-based. Mobile IPv6 (MIPv6), a host-centric mobility management protocol, stands out as a significant initiative proposed by the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) to serve as the main protocol for mobility management at the IP layer. To address the shortcomings of the host-based MIPv6 protocol, including issues such as suboptimal routing, delivery delays, packet loss, and the risk of a single point of failure, the IETF has standardized the Proxy Mobile IPv6 (PMIPv6) protocol. This document outlines the fundamental specifications of PMIPv6 and examines various extensions that has been proposed by standardization organizations and researchers to enhance the core PMIPv6 protocol. These enhancements aim to provide a more comprehensive mobility experience, incorporating features such as aggregation, rapid delivery, path optimization, support for network mobility, and load balancing. The research conducted on these extensions is evaluated to pinpoint critical considerations that should be taken into account during their design.

Enhance Threat Detection via Rogue Access Point MonitoringIn wireless networks, security measures primarily focus on protecting the privacy and security of end users. Consequently, numerous security risks and threats, especially in public spaces, remain prevalent. Among the most common forms of cybercrime are identity theft and data leaks from university networks. However, users of wireless networks in educational institutions, including universities, often remain unaware of the security risks posed by unsecured networks. This lack of awareness makes users vulnerable to various attacks due to their inexperience or carelessness. This study aims to delve deeper into the dangers associated with fraudulent access points and proposes potential solutions to mitigate this specific category of threats in wireless networks, particularly Rogue Access Points (RAP). Emphasizing RAP among the various potential threats in wireless network systems is justified, as these attacks are highly dangerous and directly affect almost all other common threats in these systems. Once a rogue access point is established, it often becomes a gateway for other threats to infiltrate the network.

Analysis of Switching Conditions in DC Circuits Due to Switching Process with RL LoadThe switching process in a direct current (DC) circuit with inductive-resistive load (RL) produces complex switching conditions due to the nature of energy storage by the inductor. This study analyzes the transient phenomenon that occurs when a switch in a DC circuit is activated or deactivated. Using a first-order differential equation describing the relationship between current, voltage, and circuit parameters, the transient characteristics of current and voltage are obtained. Simulations and mathematical analysis show that the recovery time of stable conditions depends on the time constant of the series, which is determined by the values of inductance (L) and resistance (R). This study provides an in-depth understanding of transient dynamics, which is beneficial for electronic system design and network protection.
